Hello!

I’m Jessica and i'm an experienced Design and Technology Teacher working in a Secondary school. I love passing on knowledge about a variety of different materials and processes and recently found a love for mosaics thanks to my dad giving me a load of spare mosaic tiles a few years ago. I started creating pieces and instantly enjoyed the endless possibilities that were available! 

I have combined my love of teaching and creativity and decided to take the risk of running mosaic workshops in my local community and have been overwhelmed with the support, it is an opportunity to do something for yourself or to give as a gift and you will be so proud putting in on display at your home. During the workshop you will learn the basic skills involved in mosaic before designing and creating your very own masterpiece! You will be able to choose from a variety of tiles and I will bring along some inspiration images for you to look through on the day if you are not sure what design to create.

You do not need to bring anything with you as all materials are provided, but you may wish to bring an apron to protect your clothing. The workshop is suitable for beginners and no experience is needed, just a reminder that you will be using tile nippers to cut the tiles so if you have any issues with using your hands then this might be quite difficult to do. Don't worry, I will show you how to use them comfortably. However, I do have some pre-cut shapes if you would like to add these to your design.
